Balnarring Short Film Club

Call for founding members
Making short films can be a fun exciting hobby that costs virtually nothing, beyond the time, resources and ideas of those involved. They do, however, require people; creative people, practical/technical people and administrative people. So if you are interested in making short films, be it as an actor/director, tech-crew, general organiser, etc. I am collecting names and contact details of people in the Balnarring/Mornington Peninsula area for the purpose of arranging a preliminary get-together to discuss the idea further.
What happens next will depend on the goals and aspirations of those involved. Personally, I have no agenda for the club. I just enjoy the arduous task of getting a story onto screen. And what I have is some theatrical experience and basic filmmaking equipment that I am willing to share for nonprofit projects.
For those who'd like more information about the film making process, http://www.planetoftunes.com lists a basic production schedule of what's involved, along with other advice elsewhere on their web site.
For those interested in the organisational aspects of forming a club, the Department of Consumer Affairs is the place to start. There is no requirement to register as an incorporated club, and whether or not it is worthwhile to do so will depend on group consensus.
If you would like to attend the preliminary get-together or if you have any specific questions, please contact me, Paul Robbins, on:

Information* I am connecting is: name (first only), a means of contact (phone, email, post, fax or other) and your suburb (to find a central location for the meeting). Once we have five or so interested people, I will send out a list of possible times and venues from which we can narrow down something that is generally convenient for all.
Regards,
Paul Robbins
